Is TableMates free?

Yes. TableMates is completely free to use. There are no ads, no paid tiers and no card required — create an account and start tracking your game night.

Does TableMates involve real-money gambling?

No. TableMates is a scorekeeping and settle-up tool for friendly home games. It does not process payments, hold funds or facilitate wagering of any kind. It tracks who owes what so your group can settle between themselves.

How does TableMates track buy-ins and rebuys?

You start a match, add the players from your group, and record each buy-in and rebuy as it happens. TableMates keeps a running total for every player, so at the end of the night the final position for each person is already calculated — no spreadsheet, no mental arithmetic, no arguments.

How does settling up work at the end of a game?

When the match ends, TableMates works out each player's net position from their buy-ins and final chip count, then shows who owes whom. Balances carry across sessions, so a player who is down one week and up the next sees a single running figure rather than a pile of separate IOUs.

Can I use TableMates for a regular group that plays every week?

That is what it is built for. You create a group once, add your players, and every match you run is recorded against it. Over time the group builds a history of results and running balances, and you can see performance trends per player.

Do all my players need to create an account?

No. Only the host needs an account. You add the other players to your group by name, so nobody has to download anything or sign up to be tracked in the game.

Does TableMates work on my phone?

Yes. TableMates runs in the browser on any device — phone, tablet or laptop — so you can track a game from the table without installing an app.

Can I use TableMates for games other than poker?

Yes. Anything scored as buy-ins and payouts across a group works — poker is the common case, but the same tracking applies to other friendly table games where money changes hands between friends.
